The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services for the community.
SASSA will be rendering expert services for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it's alarmed in regards to the higher range of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The service stage produced for intervention experiences a higher inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to help the servicing of all prospects and raise use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
